Lancer Rifle Amazon Exclusive
I am soooo tempted to order this! It’s a full scale Lancer assault rifle from “Gears of War” and it’s an Amazon exclusive.
You can order the gun separately for $139 CDN, or pre-order “Gears of War 2″ Limited Edition and the rifle for $149 CDN.
The gun has no moving parts save for the trigger. The Lancer is also sound chipped and battery powered.
I did feel a little burned on the Halo 3 Legendary Boxed Set (only a little though; I love the extra behind-the-scenes material) that came with the under-scaled Master Chief helmet. The local electronic big box store here still have some sets they haven’t been unable to unload, even at drastically reduced prices.
However, unlike the Master Chief helmet, the Lancer is full scale so I think collectors will feel that they’re getting more bang for the buck with a full scale replica.
They’re also exclusively sold through Amazon so I don’t think we’ll be seeing many of these lying around. And it’s a sure bet there are going to be Lancers going for ridiculous amounts of money on eBay.
Now I have to think really hard about just how big a “Gears of War” fan I really am.
