I may have jumped the gun on transferring the majority of my characters over to Volkmar.
Volkmar’s numbers looked good, but after perusing the Volkmar server forums, it appears that the quality of the community there is somewhat lacking. The fact that one of the more recent forum threads involve Volkmar residents griping about how much players on Volkmar (and the server overall) suck, doesn’t help matters.
This just goes to show you that numbers aren’t everything. So now my low-levels are trapped on Volkmar with an (apparently) crappy community. Super. At least I had the foresight to not transfer my two highest level characters just yet.
Listening to the more active and dedicated guildies talk, it appears that Badlands or Ungrim are two of the better choices for players leaving Bretonnia and most of the guilds have left for one or the other.
It’s too bad I trapped my other character classes on Volkmar. I’m really not looking forward to starting from scratch for my other character classes. 
I’m kicking myself for stranding my Bright Wizard on Volkmar because I took great effort leveling up her Apothecary and Cultivating skills. She was my potion factory. Now I’ll have to create and level up a new character on Badlands/Ungrim for that duty. Ugh!

looks like the penny arcade guild i was watching are transfering to Badlands. so i think i might move there, how would that be for you? (im ont goign to do the actual transfer till wednesday night)
Badlands sounds good. I’ve been playing on Badlands for the last week where I’ve started up two new characters (WP and SW) in order to get a feel for the community before moving my two main characters. Nothing significantly negative so far.
I’ve observed that the lower tiers seem to be less populated on Badlands compared to Bretonnia, even over the weekend where I expected that there’d be many more players online. Since we’re Tier 3, it doesn’t pose a problem for us directly (what with all the guilds moving there and all) but the lack of immigration may be of some concern.
Tier 1 scenarios took noticeably longer to fire compared to Bretonnia. Even Nordenwatch took a while to pop on the weekend; and Nordenwatch on Bretonnia over the weekend was one of those scenarios you were virtually guaranteed to get into every few minutes.
I suppose it’s too early to be concerned over anything since server populations are in flux with Mythic pruning the low population servers. With the introduction of the KotBS and the BG, we’ll probably see a significant tier 1 and 2 surge.
ok, cool. yeah there will be alot more low tier guys once the new classes come in. and as long as the higher stuff is decent it should be good. also the penny arcade guilds are always good
