I don’t know how I missed it, but I’ve only now noticed that clicking on some category links, and using the category drop down menu produces a tonne of 404 errors.

I’m looking into the problem and I’m praying that it won’t result in me having to go through over 700 articles to fix things.

EDIT: It’s fixed.  Turns out it was a Wordpress bug and it took but all of three seconds to repair.  Turns out all I had to do was enter any text string for Category base and URL base under the Optional section under  Dashboard -> Settings -> Permalinks section.

When it rains in pours… This blog problem comes hot on the heels of my Windows installation almost going up in flames when I tried to fix a codec problem on my system.

It’s times like this that make me want to through my computer out the window.

EDIT: Did not defenestrate the computer.  Repair process involved doing a re-installation of Windows over top the existing one, but in Repair mode.
