I finally looted a hat for my Witch Hunter whilst taking my Bright Wizard character out for a walk. Finally! A hat!
Why the big deal? During the very early stages of the game, hats can be very rare.
In a Witch Hunter oriented forum I was reading, quite a few people have posted that they didn’t acquire their hats until after many gaming hours that pushed them to at least Rank 12. And some are higher than 12 and still don’t have a hat.
Paraphrasing what someone had said to me, “Witch Hunters are about style!” And nothing completes the look of a Witch Hunter like “The Hat.”
If you’re running a Witch Hunter, you need “The Hat.”
Besides style, it came with some nice character stats boosts and an additional armour rating too. Witch Hunters are one of the “squishy” classes so more armour is always a good thing.
As the old saying goes; When it rains, it pours…
Not long after I looted the hat with my Bright Wizard, I took the Witch Hunter out and she ended up getting yet another hat on her own from a creature drop in Elven Shadowlands. And it had even better stats than the original find! ![]()

the best thing about witch hunters are how badass they look, and the hat is a big part of that. i luckly got my hat in a scenario (rolled need woo) and its a bluem ive looted many other classes hats but never a wh hat again (yet). hey can you remember to mail me any level 25 seeds you have? i need one more point to get to 50 to unlock another plot and to be able to use the absolute ton of lvl 50 seeds i have. cant wait to play on thursday!
Sure, I can send you some seed 25s. I seem to be getting seeds in the 50s and 70s as of late though. I think my R10 Shadow Warrior may still be getting more frequent seed 25 drops.
that first one last night pushed me to 50 cultivation, so now i am running though all my level 50 seeds. If you need any potions let me know i should have a ton soon (going to run through all my seeds then go apothecary crazy and churn out a ton of potions)
oh also if you have any leeches or anything that you get from scavenge/butcher that are used in apothecary and dont need you can always send them my way and ill make potions out of them
Sure. I’ll send what I come across. My Witch Hunter is the scavenger and I haven’t taken her out for a run in a while since I’ve been trying to bring the rest of the “team” up to speed.
Geez, Salvage/Talisman crafting is a BITCH to level. I got up to Talisman 31 with my R16 Warrior Priest but I can’t go any further until I get more salvageable items.
It seems that NPCs tend to drop more Cultivation and Apothecary items than salvageable items for Talisman crafting so I have to farm/kill a whole lot more just to get a few decent drops. But I suppose that balances out since most properly made talismans last forever compared to potions.
I have a bunch of 2-day and 8-hour talismans left over from craft leveling, covering everything from strength to weapon skill. They sell for 1 brass so it’s a waste to sell/junk them. Let me know if you need a temporary boost for some of your equipment so at least they’ll actually get used.
