In Warhammer: Age of Reckoning, sometimes I wave a greeting to passing players.  Coming from Guild Wars, which revolve around primarily instanced play, I relish the player interaction oriented design of W:AR.  It’s just nice to see other people in-country! wTwNjzVFVU

Most of the time, the people I wave to say nothing.  Occasionally they’ve waved back and said ‘Hi’— and this is even some players on the opposing faction.

Today, I waved at an Elven Shadow Warrior player on the way back to a camp.  After crossing a large pond, I briefly turned around to get some situational awareness.

I find out that the asshole Shadow Warrior had actually pursued me, even into the water, just to get within chat range so he could say to me, “GO &$*% YOUR MOM“.

Losers about in the realms!

Losers about in the realms!

You must be a pretty pathetic person if you actually take that much effort to chase down another player just to be a complete and utter asshole.

Gotta love Internet courage and thank God for Ignore lists! ;-)

Funny how you blotted out the yours and his names but left the ignore line alone… Hmm…

Heh, oopsy! ;-) I guess I should take his name out of the blog’s tag word list too. ;-) ;-)

I didn’t blot out my name though because it wasn’t showing in the first place. The client displays “you” instead of your character’s name.

I’ve gone back and blotted out the player’s name correctly. Even though he is an asshole and he probably deserves it, it wouldn’t be good for me if people harassed him over something I posted on my blog.

Yeah. Still there in the post tags.

No point in building a bridge just to burn it down. :P
