I go to Curse.com web site. You don't have to download their automated add-on management client.

While it does make add-on management very convenient, after Oct. 6th, you have to be a paid member to use it.

Installing an add-on is usually as simple as downloading the add-on archived file and copying the contents of the add-on archive with full paths to the \Interface\Addons directory located in the game's root directory.

Uninstalling it is just as simple: delete the respective add-on's directory.

The one add-on that's probably mandatory is the LibSlash development library. A significant amount of add-ons utilize LibSlash to register their slash commands with the WAR interface.

There are a lot of add-ons that'll make the interface a lot more practical and streamlined. Definitely worth checking them out.

Yup, I started reporting spammers. I've installed the SpamMeNot W:AR interface add-on so now anyone who spams me is automatically blocked and reported. It's also capable of doing fuzzy matches to get around text substitution obfuscation like l337 speak, adding spaces and non-letter characters etc...

I haven't had anyone spam me yet with it enabled, but other players I've encountered have been telling me that it works really well.
