I got my copy of Warhammer and had my first session last night!  I had a blast!  The fact that it doesn’t focus on instanced play as much as Guild Wars really adds to the experience.

There’s something to be said about being able to roam the countryside/battlefield and see and interact with other players.  Since you can easily chat with other people, or jump into the fray to help out some comrades (or have them help you) whenever the need arises,  it makes the game world feel much more alive and certainly far less lonely.  W:AR isn’t a wilderness landscape with just you and a sea of monsters and non-player characters.

I’ll be writing a slightly longer article about my play experience.  I’m just waiting for the servers to come back up so I can get screen shots for the article.
