Warhammer: Age of Reckoning will be hitting the store shelves tomorrow and I’ll be hitting the local EBGames for my copy as soon as its open.

I haven’t played a lot of MMO’s.  Guild Wars was the last one I played and I haven’t really done all that much adventuring in it, namely because of the isolated nature of the adventuring.

In GW, you basically play in an ‘instanced’ version of the game world and only meet other players while in towns and you can only go adventuring if you form/join parties with other players.

There’s really not much of a strong social structure and activity within the game itself, except for towns— and it’s all just mainly “looking for party” or buying/selling speak.

From what I’ve heard about W:AR, because of its player vs. player orientation, I’m thinking that it should be quite a different experience, with greater player interaction both in and out of towns, which should make for a more interesting play experience.

I’ll probably be buying a Prima strategy guide when I pick up the game tomorrow.  I think I’m going to really need it. :-P
