I haven’t played much Halo 3 lately but this video really makes me want to get into it again!
Unbelievable!

I have two impossible kills of my own in Halo 3 that I should try and dump to video some time if I can get the video capture hardware to do it.

LOL. Brilliant.
This really points out a problem I have with FPS or any FP game. Field of view is so limited. Granted we are stuck with a limited display. In real life your peripheral would take notice. Ah well. Classic though.
A narrower FOV allows for higher frame rates and there’s less flat projection distortion in the center of the screen which is important since the majority of the action happens in front of the player.
I haven’t had any real problems with the roughly standard 90 degree FOV most games use. If possible, I do make FOV modifications for single player use. I prefer 95 to 100 degrees. I find that around 100 degrees is a good trade off between performance and visibility.
Due to the Mjolnir Mk VI helmet design, the Master Chief probably would not have seen that one coming anyway if that was to happen in real life.
i wondered if you saw that. its a great video, i like when stuff happens unexpected like that. fun stuff
Feel free to forward any links my way if you see something cool. Thanks.
I should capture my sticky gravity lift kill and my crashing Ghost kill. Not as spectacular as this Warthog betrayal but cool nonetheless.
